McConnell: I Want Delegates to Pick Somebody Who Can Win In November

This weekend, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) told a local ABC station he hopes the Republican presidential nominee decision will go to a second ballot at the Republican National Convention in July so delegates can vote for someone “who can win” in November against Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton. McConnell said, “So there are some candidates suggesting that it’s somehow tricky to simply follow the rules of the convention. We are going to follow the rules of the Convention.
